STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR

BAST AND MOXY

I had the pleasure of exhibiting and helping to plan the University of Oregon's booth at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February of 2024. Two of my projects, Bast and Moxy, were chosen to be exhibited, and I completed a redesign of Moxy in the months leading up to the fair.

To see more details about the projects I exhibited, please follow these links to the University of Oregon Stockholm Furniture Fair website

Moxy redesign

Taking feedback from the first iteration of Moxy, changes were made to each object in the collection. Multiple iterations were tested to improve the function and aesthetics of my previous project.

Design changes

The headphone stand became more organically curved to further accentuate the grain pattern, the laptop stand now features more cork to provide a comfortable resting spot for your wrists, the pen tray dimensions were slightly adjusted, and the phone stand became easier to manufacture with a double-sided CNC operation and an improved cord integration.

Bast

Bast is a stool made out of banana stalk bast fiber and corn starch bio plastic. Bast gives a second life to bio-based waste products and draws inspiration from nature, featuring multiple expressions of the same material, from the base of the stool to the cushion.
